The agenda of Service Radio 104.9 to capture the airwaves was on Monday, September 7, 2020 set in motion at Nsoatre in the Sunyani West Municipality of Bono Region when it organizes its maiden morning show, “Service in the morning” “Anopa som” outside the studios.

The show was parked with lots of insightful interviews with prominent personalities within the region, as well as some Jama shows from some youth groups at Nsoatre.

Some of the personalities interviewed were; Bono Regional Minister, Evelyn Ama Kumi-Richardson, a member of the Nsoatre Traditional Council, Assembly members and opinion leaders, leaders of various Youth Associations, and the Honorable Member of Parliament for Sunyani West, Ignatius Baffour Awuah, who is also the Chief Executive of Service Radio 104.9.

Speaking with the Morning Show host, Collins Apraku a.k.a “Fresh Aluta”, the Chief Executive of Service Radio indicated that the media house has emerged to serve the people within the Bono region with professionalism and serenity.

According to Honorable Baffour Awuah, Service Radio is to help promote, project and offer quality hype to people in the Bono region to be at the apex of their respective endeavors, being a chief, politician, a footballer or a musician.

He urged Management and staff of Service Radio 104.9 to serve the people with captivating content, placing special emphasis on business, sports, culture and entertainment, as well as innovative programmes that engages and enriches lives.

“Develop critical and requisite content which will ensure the growth and sustainability of the relationship with your audience, don’t work to please me, but the listeners.” He stressed.

According to the CEO of Service Radio 104.9, great focus should be placed on bringing accurate and balanced news reportage without embellishment to the listeners.

Introducing the staff, the General Manager, Melvina Frimpong Manso, held the main vision of Service Radio is to become the most trusted voice of the Region, by building a credible quality radio network.

According to her, inculcating good social values and developmental attitudes in people will be the primary focus of the station.
